Dual Entry
Electrical Connection
Installation is easier with both left and right electrical connection
as standard.
Built-in Controllers
Our discretely built-in controllers allow for temperature adjustment, on/off
programming and electricity savings.
What’s going on inside your heated towel rail, or in other words the heating technology used in your heated towel rail will affect things like how long it takes to warm up and to dry towels, what is the temperature of the exposed surfaces, how easy is it to install, and can you adjust the temperature or switch on/off to reduce electricity consumption. We developed our Dry Element Technology (DET) to provide these benefits and more.
Bathroom Butler’s dual entry connection allows you to choose which side to connect to your electrical outlet - on the bottom left or bottom right. All you need is pre-installed electric point which your electrician can provide. If you’ve got a knack for DIY, you could easily mount the heated towel rail on the wall yourself. But be sure to check local electrical codes prior to connecting to live wiring.
Designed with the environment in mind, our heated towel rails use very little electricity, between 40 to 180 Watts depending on the size, which is equivalent to one or two
conventional light bulbs. What’s
more is that you can reduce electricity consumption even further by switching on and off as required with our built-in switches.
Reduces the drying time and improves the warming effect, which means we can have the lowest wattage possible for
the purpose of drying towels and save electricity. For best results trap the heat by folding your towels twice to create four layers, providing heat where it is needed most, in the horizontal bars under the wet towel.
BENEFITS OF DRY ELEMENT TECHNOLOGY
The faster the heated towel rail heats up, the sooner it starts drying your towel and ultimately uses less electricity. Bathroom Butler DET heated towel rails take 10 to 15 minutes to reach optimum working temperature which is a vast improvement on the older fluid-filled models that take up to 90 minutes to heat up.
EXPLORE HEATED TOWEL RAILSBENEFITS OF DRY ELEMENT TECHNOLOGY
Having a built-in controller with temperature adjustment is an important feature in getting the most out of your heated towel rack; you can increase the temperature in winter and reduce it in summer for all year round use. In addition you can switch on/off manually or program to do so automatically, which means the heated towel rail will only run when you need it to and therefore save electricity.
With the Personal Temperature Selection Switch, you can adjust the temperature and switch ON / OFF reducing running costs by up to 60%.
The built-in Total Digital Control Timer can be programmed to switch ON and OFF automatically as needed reducing running costs by up to 75%.
Bathroom Butler heated towel rails are supplied with all of the necessary mounting parts, installation template and instruction manual, all you'll need is a few tools. Remember to consult an electrician and follow local electrical rules and regulations.
WIRING OPTIONS: There are various ways of installing your heated towel rack depending on whether you are currently building a new bathroom, renovating or retrofitting to your existing bathroom. The standard hardwired option (hidden wiring) provides the most aesthetically pleasing look and requires an electrical conduit to be installed within the wall. Another option is to have your heated towel rail installed as a plug-in (exposed wiring) that can be done at any time.
(concealed wiring)
Electrical conduit is installed in wall during renovation or building process. Electrical wiring is then pulled through the conduit and connected to the mains on an earth leakage protected circuit.
(wiring through the wall)
Hole is drilled through the wall and electrical wiring is fed through the hole and connected to a plug. This can then be plugged into an earth leakage protected outlet.
(upside down installation)
Install the heated towel rail upside down and run the electrical wiring on the wall surface within trunking up to the ceiling. A connection would then be made to mains on an earth leakage protected circuit.
We use on of the finest materials for our bathroom accessories and heated towel rails – Grade 304 Stainless Steel.
This high-grade material is perfect for the humid environment of the bathroom because its natural corrosion resistance properties prevent rusting, staining, peeling, flaking or chipping.
Unrivalled aesthetic appeal
Stainless Steel offers an unparalleled timeless aesthetic that will complement any bathroom style. It is available in both matt / brushed finish and a high-gloss polished finish.
A hygienic choice
Stainless Steel is a non-porous material which means nothing can stick to it and therefore does not collect bacteria or algae, which makes it ideal for any bathroom space. Furthermore, it does not corrode, and is easy to keep clean.
Durable and strong
Grade 304 stainless steel is a strong and highly durable material that will last a lifetime if well taken care of, as it doesn’t scratch, dent or break easily.
Self-repairing protective layer
Grade 304 Stainless Steel has a unique feature: it has its own self-healing protective layer and does not require any additional coating. It does this via its ability to form a thin, transparent "passive layer" of Chromium Oxide on its surface. This gives the stainless steel the anti-corrosive properties which means it will never flake, peel, chip or rust.
100% recyclable
Stainless Steel is one of the few materials that can claim to be 100% recyclable, at the end of its useful life it can be completely melted down and made into another product without adding any virgin material. This therefore negates the need to mine for more resources, which leads to energy savings and reducing CO2 emissions.
Low maintenance
To maintain a perfect finish of Grade 304 Stainless Steel, all you are required to do is to wipe your product down with a warm damp cloth, and then buff it dry with a clean dry cloth.
Believe it or not, randomly draping your open towels over your heated towel rack is not the way to dry them. Just like dressing in layers keeps us warm in winter by trapping heat, creating layers by folding your towels correctly will similarly keep the heat in, dry your towels while adding a touch of warmth.
For optimum drying result, we recommend folding your towels twice creating 4 layers and then hang over the horizontal heated bars. From experience, it will take about 4 hours to dry used towels depending the room temperature, the moisture of the towel and the humidity in the air.
Â
While Stainless Steel is an amazing material and has self-healing properties, it does need a clean every now and then to remain in pristine condition. It is effortless to keep clean, all you need to do is wipe down with a warm damp cloth and buff dry. Remember to switch off the heated towel rail and allow to cool down before cleaning.
You could also use a touch of Chlorine-free stainless-steel cleaner to maintain the gorgeous shine. Do not use any TILE GROUT cleaner or Chlorine based chemicals on the stainless-steel finish as these will cause permanent damage.
